Shopify store
development cost.

A Shopify storefront at Sitepilo starts at US$100 and is often ready in about a week. This note explains what that starting price buys, what sits outside it, and how the quote moves.

One starting price.

Shopify development starts at US$100. That first version covers a homepage, collection structure, and a product template, designed around the way your catalog is already organized. Custom sections — a product page that explains the object, a homepage that is not a theme demo with the logo swapped — use the same starting price. Once products and photography are ready and the quote is agreed, that version is often about a week.

Moving an existing catalog starts at the same US$100 after we see the export: products, variants, images, and collections. A messy export, customer accounts, or order history can add scope. We do not confirm that part of the quote until we have seen the file.

US$100 is the starting price for a defined first version. The quote you approve is the price. Hosting is not included. Your Shopify plan is not included.

What changes the number.

Catalog shape matters more than a page count. Twenty simple products in four collections is a different job from two hundred products with bundles, subscriptions, and markets. Variants, translation, and wholesale pricing each add a pass through the theme and the data.

Custom product storytelling costs more because it is theme development, not settings. A lookbook, a comparison block, or a guided routine is design and code. A 3D scene on a product page starts at US$100, and a narrative product story starts at US$200. Both are described on the interactive 3D page.

Apps are a common surprise. An app can be the right tool for reviews, subscriptions, or markets, and it can also be a monthly bill that outlives the project. We name the app and its ongoing cost in the quote. We do not install a stack to make the store look finished.

Design rounds move the timeline more than they move the first number, up to the rounds written in the quote. Extra rounds are a change of scope. So is “one more template” after the templates were listed.

What the development fee does not buy.

Your Shopify subscription, a paid theme license if we use one, app subscriptions, and payment-provider fees are yours. They continue after we hand the store over. The quote lists them beside the build so the first invoice is not the whole cost of running the store.

Photography, product copy, and translation are not included unless the quote says they are. We can structure the page for copy you still owe us, and we can wait. The timeline starts when the materials the build needs are actually available.

Shopify Payments availability depends on the country and the business. We check the current rules rather than promising a payment method. The public store studies on this site, DETENT and Auralis, are WordPress catalogs. They show how we structure a collection and a product page. They are not Shopify checkouts, and they are not client stores.

What to send with the enquiry.

Send the product count, the number of collections, whether you already have a store, and a link to it. Add whether photography exists. A budget band helps: the form on our homepage starts at around US$30 for a bug fix or further development, around US$100 for a first site, and around US$200 for a narrative site. A preferred launch date helps more than a mood board.

We reply with a scope, a timeline, and a price. If a conversation will shorten that, the reply includes a 20-minute call. You do not need a finished brief. The service page repeats the ranges: Shopify development.
