03 / INTERACTIVE 3D

Show the object.
Don’t only describe it.

Motion, interactive 3D, and WebGL for pages that have to teach a product or carry a story. One scene starts at US$100 and is often ready in about a week. A narrative website starts at US$200. The rest of the site can stay on WordPress or Shopify.

STARTING RANGES

A scene at US$100. A narrative site at US$200.

INTERACTIVE OBJECT

From US$100

About 1 week

One WebGL scene a visitor can turn, plus a still fallback for phones and for anyone who prefers less motion. The homepage study is the public reference.

NARRATIVE WEBSITE

From US$200

About 1 week

Photographs as places to rest. Timed transitions between them. A longer piece uses the same starting price.

WITH THE REST OF THE SITE

From US$100

About 1 week

The WordPress or Shopify pages around the scene start at US$100. Add a narrative piece and that piece starts at US$200.

Starting ranges are for a defined first version. Bug fixes and further development on an existing site start at US$30. Hosting, platform plans, paid plugins, photography, and copywriting are separate. The quote is the price you approve. Request a scoped quote. Model-making, if you do not already have a 3D model, is its own line.

Use it where a photograph stops.

An interactive scene earns its place when the visitor needs to turn a product, separate its layers, or watch one state become the next. A scroll story earns its place when the message has a sequence and a normal page would flatten it.

It does not earn a place as decoration on a five-page brochure. If the job is a business site or a store, start with WordPress or Shopify and add one scene where it teaches something. A tool or an internal app is custom development, not a 3D page.

The piece, the fallback, and the page around it.

The scene
What someone can do: rotate, switch a layer, or move to the next chapter. The action is written down before the shaders are.
The handoff
For a story, each transition starts on the picture already on screen and ends on the next one. It plays through. It is not a video the visitor scrubs.
Phone and reduced motion
A lighter scene, a video, or a still. People who ask for less motion get the story without the effect.
The page around it
The headline, the explanation, and the next step — an enquiry or a product — so the scene is not a dead end.
Handover
Where the files live, how a still is swapped, and what requires a developer next time.

Two public references, both labelled as studies.

The Odyssey is an independent story site. A fixed stage holds a photograph. Between chapters, a short video or a WebGL pass carries the reader to the next still, then stops. Ten of those handoffs are in the build. It is not a client campaign and not a film tie-in.

The homepage of this site has a second study: a 3D object you can drag, with a control that separates the layers. It uses sample geometry, not a client’s product. Open the homepage and use the scene, then come back to the case study for the chapter method. A longer note on both is in interactive 3D product page examples.

Price, phones, and what we need.

How much does an interactive 3D website cost?

One interactive object, with drag-to-rotate and a still fallback, starts at US$100 and is often about a week. A narrative website — photographs as resting points, with timed transitions between them — starts at US$200. A longer piece uses the same US$200 starting price. Bug fixes and further development on an existing site start at US$30. The quote names the scenes in the first version.

Does every page need WebGL?

No. We use it when turning an object, or moving from one scene to the next, explains something a photograph cannot. The rest of the site can be an ordinary WordPress or Shopify build.

What do you need from me?

The product, or a model if one exists, plus the one thing a visitor should understand. If the model still has to be made, that work is named separately in the quote. We also agree the phone fallback and a reduced-motion version before build.

Will it work on a phone?

The quote includes a phone path: a lighter scene, a video, or a still. A desktop-only experiment is not a finished page.
